Charlie Weis Is Wasting No Time In Inserting “Golden Boy” Jimmy Clausen.
Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 4, 2007
Charlie “Two Ton” Weis, is desperate & is wasting no time in doing something, anything that will spark some type of offense. The three QB “experiment” was a total disaster last Saturday that resulted in the worse season-opening ass kicking Notre Dame has ever received. So now it’s damn the red shirt status mode for touchdown Jesus Inc., because it’s time for Jimmy Jimmy Jam Jam Clausen to start.
“Notre Dame freshman Jimmy Clausen will start at quarterback Saturday against Penn State, with the Irish looking to rebound from a season-opening 33-3 loss at home to Georgia Tech.
“I think he gives us the best chance of winning,” coach Charlie Weis said Tuesday.”
You think? After that dismissal performance last Saturday, that had some Notre Dame fans wondering “Oh shit we might lose to Michigan who just lost to Appy State.”, really pissed off. So you better be sure. And starting him against Penn State at Penn State? That’s brilliant if you’re actually going to start Demetrius Jones instead of Clausen, hoping to throw them off. If not Jimmy Jimmy Jam Jam might be broken and never have a chance to fulfill his real dream of being the next Greg Louganis.
“I’m not going to play a quarterback who can’t do everything, so I didn’t,” Weis said.
Weis said Clausen manages the offense best and has the best arm.
“I think he’s ready to run the offense,” Weis said. “He was always ready mentally, but his arm wasn’t full go until last week.”
Notre Dame was held to 130 yards passing against Georgia Tech, ranking them 94th of 113 teams. Clausen played the final two series and was 4-of-6 passing for 34 yards and sacked once.Demetrius Jones started the game and was 1-of-3 passing for 4 yards against Georgia Tech and ran the ball 12 times for 28 yards. Four of the six drives he led ended in three-and-outs, and he fumbled the ball away on the other two possessions. Evan Sharpley was 10-of-13 passing for 92 yards, but was sacked seven times.”
Hmm…is it me or can a blind person see that with all those sacks maybe the problem isn’t the QB, it’s the offensive line? After all one QB was sacked seven times alone…something called blocking could have helped I suppose. I’m waiting for the “Bring back Lou” chants to begin.
So I profess on this day 9/4/07.

Clausen wont help the irish, They have been cursed by the football gods for what they did to Ty Willingham. And to think they gave charlie weiss an ext. to his contract. I dont know about the rest of you but something in Notre Dame stinks.

I thought Ty was awesome. And I’m noticing the job he’s doing to Washington. Notre Dame’s biggest problem at this point is blocking and protecting the QB.
