Can Someone Shut Both Jenni Carlson & Mike Gundy Up For Me?

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 26, 2007

Day 3 of the “Oh No She Didn’t, Oh Yes She Did & He is Pissed” Carlson and Gundy saga and both are still whining about it. On Tuesday Jenni Carlson got a front page whiny diatribe story about her ass chewing she received from Gundy last Saturday. Click here to see the ass chewing in Technicolor and Dolby like sound. Does she have some vulcan ears or what?

“A columnist for the largest newspaper in Oklahoma wrote Tuesday that Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy “attacked my credibility” during a post-game tirade three days earlier.

Jenni Carlson, in a column that appeared on the front page of The Oklahoman, maintained the accuracy of an earlier column critical of the Cowboys’ former starting quarterback.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State officials seemed hopeful the controversy — fueled by tens of thousands of views of Gundy’s rant on Internet sites such as YouTube — soon would dissipate.

Oklahoma State athletic department spokesman Kevin Klintworth said Gundy did not intend to comment any more about the matter. Another university spokesman, Gary Shutt, said “we’re looking to move past this and looking at Saturday’s football game” against Sam Houston State.”

I think that’s the right choice just let it die down, or just die…sheesh. Then again, Sam Houston State? Yeah they’re a real powerhouse. Was the school started by former professional wrestler Sam Houston, if so it might be a cool school. OK, fine I lied just look at the picture to the left. I wanted to keep the memory of Sam Houston Wrestling God alive for another day.

“Whether or not the public would allow that to happen remains to be seen, as the story continued to lead newscasts in the football-crazed state and remained the focus of sports-talk radio shows — including one hosted by Carlson, who has worked as a columnist at The Oklahoman for eight years.

Following Oklahoma State’s 49-45 win over Texas Tech on Saturday, Gundy used his postgame news conference to berate Carlson for 3 1/2 minutes and left the room without taking questions. In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America that aired Tuesday, Carlson described what she thought as Gundy screamed at her.

“It was unbelievable that this was happening,” she said. “I just was really not expecting that there was going to be this sort of outrage.”

It was a surprise attack much like your article. Granted the boys’ mommy called the coach instead of your boss, but still, I disagree with a lot of the innuendos you placed in your article. I can’t believe getting told off by someone gets you on the Good Morning America show, they must be desperate guests.

“On Saturday, Gundy called three-fourths of the column “fiction” and said he doesn’t read the newspaper “because it’s garbage.” During Gundy’s news conference Monday, Carlson asked the coach to point out what he thought were factual errors.

“I don’t have to,” Gundy said.

Carlson asked again, and Gundy said, “I don’t have to. I’d rather just let it go.”

Carlson said in her Tuesday column that she would like to do the same, had Gundy not questioned her credibility.

“I feel as adamant about the facts in that column as Gundy did in his belief that his player shouldn’t have been so scrutinized,” she said.

“I will not stand on the sidelines and allow someone to attack my credibility.”

Actually he was pretty clear Saturday about what he thought was rather fictional, such as the reports of Reid threatening to transfer. Maybe if Carlson was paying attention she would have caught that. If you’re so adamant show proof of what you stated in your article that should clear everything up and then you and Gundy can become secret lovers and STFU already.

Bob Stoops, the coach of No. 3 Oklahoma, defended Gundy’s right to confront Carlson, but declined to delve too far into the debate.“Everybody has a remark on everything we do, and that’s OK,” Stoops told reporters Tuesday. “As soon as a coach has an opinion on what any of you do, then you can’t do that. I don’t know why that would be. We’re entitled to our opinions as well. So that’s it. I’ve got nothing else to say about it.”

You go Stoops that’s what I’m talking about. By the way you might get an offer to coach Tennessee, please of the love of God, take it.

“A clause in Gundy’s contract notes that the coach “shall conduct himself with due regard to public convention and morals, shall not do any act that will tend to degrade him in society or bring him into public hatred, contempt, scorn or ridicule, or that will tend to shock, or insult the community or offend public morals or decency.”

Asked about that clause, Shutt said “the administration supports coach Gundy and the job he’s doing.” He said the university’s interim president, Marlene Strathe, is not planning to comment on the incident.”

I personally find that’s great news. I thought the article was tasteless. I agree that Gundy could have handled it better but I have no problem with him handling it publicly.

“Big 12 Conference spokesman Bob Burda said the league “does not have jurisdiction when it comes to matters of treatment of media members by coaches, student-athletes or administrators” because “our membership has not empowered us with jurisdiction in that matter.”

Media groups, including the Football Writers Association of America and the Association for Women in Sports Media, have issued statements critical of Gundy.”

Oh wah wah wah. Why is it that journalist think they can write anything they like and when someone calls them out on something it’s never their fault, and every other journalist comes to “comfort” the journalist in question? I understand the right to express an opinion and free speech. Just because we all granted those rights doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be held accountable for the things we say or write. I could never work for a newspaper, because if a coach was to yell at me like that, I would yell back. I refuse to on Good Morning America to whine.

So I profess on this day 9/26/07.

One Ohio State QB Must be a Sex Addict, have a Little Penis or Just Horribly Ugly.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 25, 2007

Pictures this, you’re a redshirt quarter back at Ohio State, also you’re the fourth leading rushing on the team, why would you then try to solicit some crack ho hooker when all the action you need is on campus? Answer: you must be a sex addict, have a very tiny embarrassing penis or just that damn ugly.

“Ohio State’s third-team quarterback and fourth-leading rusher has been accused of offering a female police officer $20 for sex, authorities said Tuesday.

Antonio Henton, a redshirt freshman, completed a pass in four attempts for 20 yards and also ran for 31 yards on seven carries in the eighth-ranked Buckeyes’ 58-7 win over Northwestern on Saturday.

Columbus police arrested him at 8:30 p.m. Monday south of campus.

Henton, 20, entered a not guilty plea Tuesday morning in Franklin County Municipal Court to the misdemeanor charge. He was released on bond later Tuesday, according to court records.

Judge Amy Salerno told Henton to consider his visibility in the community and his status as an “ambassador” for his school.”

Yo judge Amy that’s what I’m talking about. Why try to get a little way to damn strange, when he is surrounded by coeds? After all according to a former president of Ohio State, the coeds get involved with riots and drunken orgies. I submitted my admissions application immediately after hearing that.

“Lara Baker, chief prosecutor in the city’s attorney’s office, said the soliciting charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, but generally results in a small fine.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel said Henton will not travel to Minnesota for Saturday’s game.

“What’s most disappointing to me is that our guys know deep down what is expected. And when we err — in other words, a player, a coach or whomever — that’s disappointing,” Tressel said at a midday media briefing Tuesday.”

Gee Tressel are we a little tongue tied? Was the hooker someone you know or should I say use? ;) Of coure it results in a small fine the coaching staff probably pays it. Again I ask the question, with all the coeds there why go to a hooker? It makes no sense to me. Henton you have a good thing going whether it’s a little penis or you’re that ugly in person, don’t screw it up, the OSU faithful needs to riot again.

So I profess on this day 9/25/07.

Some in the Media are now Taking Pot Shots at Mike Gundy.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 25, 2007

When this Mike Gundy story broke I didn’t think it was that big of deal. I wrote my article titled “Mike Gundy Will Bring Hell, Yes Hell, to the Media” out of boredom, and yes you can view Gundy’s complete rant there. Now I see that this seems to be bigger deal than I originally thought. In fact I believe I should be called upon to mediate this situation. Of course no one from the Big 12 has my number, but they can e-mail me. Some in the liberal media are now reversing the tables on Gundy and taking their own pot shots at him.

“Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy didn’t have time to talk about his team’s 49-45 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday in Stillwater. Instead, he chose to use his postgame interview session with the media to go ballistic on Jenni Carlson, a columnist for the Daily Oklahoman.

Carlson wrote a piece critical of junior quarterback Bobby Reid, who had been replaced by sophomore Zac Robinson prior to the game, suggesting among other things the coaches had sacked Reid, the most talented quarterback on the team, because of his attitude. Carlson claimed Reid had not always handled his nerves well and was “nicked in some games and sat it out instead of gutting it out.”

She also painted a disturbing picture of Reid as a coddled player, standing near the team charter buses, using his cell phone while being fed chicken by his mother out of a boxed meal.”

I’m still laughing at the being fed by him mother part. That’s embarrassing but it only goes downhill from there.

“Carlson obviously tweaked a nerve that sent Gundy over the edge after Reid’s mother came to his office to complain.

He characterized Reid as “a good kid” who goes to class and is respectful of the media and was the victim of yellow journalism.”

Great, now the mother can’t call the newspaper herself but instead turns Gundy into her own little bitch. Reid wasn’t a victim for yellow journalism, Carlson gave her opinion there is a difference.

“Three-fourths of this is inaccurate,” Gundy claimed, holding up a copy of the column. “It’s fiction. And this article embarrasses me to be involved with athletics.”

Then he started raising his voice, pointed his finger in Carlson’s direction and appeared to be moving toward her in a threatening manner. Video of the entire meltdown is already available all over the Internet.”

I kinda thought she was in the room but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t say thing in the previous post. I wouldn’t classify his movement as threatening either, unless you’re a newspaper reporter living in New York. Of course the video is all over the internet. That’s what us bloggers are here for. Sure you get paid money, we get paid with the satisfaction of our readers. Money would be better though.

“Great, coach. Scream a little louder in what certainly looked like an effort to intimidate Carlson because she dared to fairly criticize a 21-year-old scholarship player. Under a little stress, are we? Not everyone in Stillwater is buying into this uncalled-for diatribe after the Cowboys’ ugly loss to Troy the previous week, where Gundy looked so disinterested on ESPN. As for accusations that Carlson claimed Reid was scared, we don’t remember reading that in her column.

I wouldn’t call what she wrote exactly fair. She implied some things such as Reid threatening to transfer without having any proof to back them up, Gundy called her out on that, and rightfully so, and stated for her to get her facts straight. She also criticized and questioned the seriousness of Reid’s past injuries which is a rather low blow. She didn’t quite call him scared but she did indicate that he doesn’t handle pressure.

“Gundy, who claims he doesn’t read Carlson’s newspaper “because it’s garbage” and went on to say “the editor who let it come out is garbage,” left without taking questions, and was applauded by what must have been cronies as he stormed out of the room. The Oklahoman stands by its columnist and its story. We wonder if Gundy would have made those outrageous comments if a male columnist had written that. For most rational coaches, these things are best handled in one-on-ones behind closed doors instead of on a bully pulpit.”

I believe Gundy would have handled it the same way if a male would have written it, and for you to question that is, in my opinion, irresponsible. I do question how it was handled regarding his demeanor but as for Gundy handling it publicly, I have no problems with that. While you and some others call it a bully pulpit, it was a response to a story that publicly ran in Carlsons’ bully newspaper. See what I’m getting at?

Gundy did handle this in an immature way that I agree with, but I also agree with his statements about how an college athletes should be written about. What Gundy was trying to say is, it’s fine to write about the bad play but not to attack them personally. Carlson did attack Reid on a personal level, there’s no question about that. Childish attacks on the personal level don’t belong in the “real” media, they belong here at this website. :) I would never question an athletes injury though, that’s beyond anything I could or would do. Gundy is right to say when a college athlete does something wrong attack them for that but leave the personal jabs and questions about them being injured out of it.

So I profess on this day 9/25/07.

Va. Prosecutor Plans to Indict Michael Ookie Vick on Slew of Super Secret Double Probation Charges.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 25, 2007

It’s almost been a month since I’ve written about everyone’s favorite dog killing scum bucket Michael “Ron Ookie Mexico” Vick, but fortunately for me and bored bloggers everywhere, there’s new ConVick news today. It seems that the same prosecutor, who failed to make sure a search warrant was served before the feds swooped in and took the case over, has decided to charge Vick with dogfighting and plans to present “a host of super secret double probation bills of indictment” against conVick Ookie tomorrow. Sweetness!!!!

“The prosecutor in the rural county where Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has admitted to bankrolling a dogfighting operation plans to present “a host of bills of indictment” regarding the case to a grand jury on Tuesday.

“Yes, I’m presenting matters to the grand jury that involve dogfighting at 1915 Moonlight Road,” Surry County Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerald G. Poindexter told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Monday night.

Moonlight Road is the address of the two story home on 15 acres that has been host to the operation known as “Bad Newz Kennels” since 2001, and where dogs have been trained, executed and fought.

“Most of the matters that I’m presenting have already been admitted in sworn statements authored by the defendants in the federal proceedings,” Poindexter said.

He couldn’t detail the exact indictments he will pursue, but said the local investigation and the federal investigation largely focused on different crimes.”

No details? What the hell else was going on there? I want to know damnit! I hate super secret double probation charges. If this means more jail time for conVick then count me it. After all he’s an admitted dog killer.

“The killing of dogs is one of those statutory prohibitions. Dogfighting is a crime, the mistreatment of animals is a crime, so you could take your pick, or take them all,” Poindexter said before cutting the conversation short. “I don’t have anything else to say about it. I’m through with it. Hopefully it’s coming to an end.”

Vick, who faces up to five years in prison, also has been indefinitely suspended without pay by the NFL and been dropped by all his major sponsors, including Nike. The local charges, and a conviction, could spell an end to any hope he has of resuming his NFL career after serving a likely federal prison term. An animal cruelty charge in Virginia is punishable by up to five years in prison, and he admitted in his written plea to helping kill six to eight pit bulls days before the first raid.

That alone could expose him to as many as 40 years in prison.”

Sweet 40 years. I’m sure Marcus is down some darken alley laughing his ass off right now. Anyone heard anything out of him lately? Didn’t think so. If conVick gets a cool 40 years I hope he makes “The Longest Yard” reality TV show with eventually OJ and Pacman. OJ would fuck the both of them up, if he has a shank that is. Sounds like conVick might be working on to avoid the dreaded prison gang rape sack. Couldn’t happen to a better person, other than OJ.

So I profess on this day 9/25/07.

Charlie Weis is Still Optimistic While Touchdown Jesus Weeps.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 24, 2007

The state of Notre Dame football is a sad one indeed. Whether you’re a Tennessee fan or a Michigan fan this season so far has been dreadful, but those fans still have hope because their favorite team isn’t team isn’t Notre Dame. For the first time ever in it’s history, the Notre Dame football program is 0-4. Jimmy “the Emu” Clausen has yet to throw for a touchdown, and yet Jabba the Weis remains optimistic, while Rudy is cursing him I’m sure.

“Coach Charlie Weis sees reason for optimism even though the Fighting Irish (0-4) are off to their worst start ever. He saw reason to believe in the way the Irish played in a 31-14 loss to Michigan State on Saturday. He saw even more reason to believe after seeing the way his players reacted following the loss.

“It’s probably the first time this year that I saw so many players that were moved by the game,” Weis said Sunday. “That is more than anything else the one thing people don’t get a chance to see and that’s probably the greatest reason for optimism — how much they care.”

They “care” because the first three games were against what was perceived to be legitimate upper tiered teams, Michigan State isn’t yet. Charlie your team lost to the team that lost to Appalachian State for heavens sake. Leave the moral victories for the less established teams.

“Weis has been watching closely for players who might be ready to give up. After all, they are facing a lot of adversity. The Irish have dropped six straight going back to last season, giving up at least 30 points in each defeat, and the 17-point loss to the Spartans was the least-lopsided loss in the streak.

Weis conceded it’s impossible after the game to read the emotion of every player. So he had a message in the locker room for anyone who might be ready to give up on the season.

“I said, ‘Fellas, you’re either all in or all out. It’s got to be one or the other”‘ he said. “I said, ‘The boat is going to sail with you or without you. It’s OK if you want to be out. But you’re either all in or all out.”

Hmm…Jones wants out and yet the AD was at point making it hard for him. With the rumor of you are headed to the Giants after this season and the fact realistically Notre Dame can 0-8, I’m sure there’s more players who want out. While no one can blame Clausen alone for the problems this offense is having, he was 7 of 13 passing for 53 yards and sacked 3 times. As I keep saying over and over again, it sounds like a line problem.

The bigger issue facing Notre Dame is the blatant double standard that they have set upon themselves. How do you keep Weis beyond a third season when you fired Willingham in his third season? I seem to recall athletic director Kevin White explaining the firing this way, while praising Willingham’s “impeccable integrity and tremendous character” as a university representative: “From Sunday through Friday, our football program has exceeded all expectations in every way, but on Saturday, we struggled.”

The third season usually defines a Notre Dame football coach. Five Irish legends — Knute Rockne, Frank Leahy, Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine and Lou Holtz — each won an outright national title or a share in Season No. 3. Willingham was fired in his third season.

Charlie Weis? He’ll be remembered as the funeral director the year Notre Dame football died a death of 2-10 if this keeps up. I was watching some the Washington Huskies game last Saturday and the announcers were commenting on how happy Tyrone looks, I remember saying “He looks happy because of Notre Dames’ record.” who can really blame him at this point?

So I profess on this day 9/24/07.

Spurrier isn’t Happy & When Spurrier isn’t Happy No One Is.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 24, 2007

Steve God Spurrier is a perfectionist, this is well known. When you play for God Spurrier you can drink underage one night and then run from the cops, key a professors car, get caught with drugs & have felony gun charges hanging over your head, while you play football, but you better produce results. Yesterday I mentioned briefly that he will be making a change at QB, this resulted into 23 yes 23 e-mails telling me I was wrong. One in particular told me to prove it, well bitches here’s the proof.

“Steve Spurrier is at it again, shuffling quarterbacks at South Carolina until he finds someone who plays the ball coach’s game.

The latest demotee is Blake Mitchell, a fifth-year senior who only a week ago Spurrier declared would be the one to take the 16th-ranked Gamecocks (3-1) as far as they would go this season.

But after South Carolina’s undefeated start ended with No. 2 LSU’s 28-16 victory, Spurrier said freshman Chris Smelley would get the start when the Gamecocks return to action this week against Mississippi State (3-1).

It’s the second straight year Mitchell’s been benched early in the season.

“Blake’s had a lot of pressure on him” and that has led to erratic performances, Spurrier said. “So we’re going to give Chris Smelley a chance right now.”

Erratic performances? I don’t like Blake “I bet he had a mullet in high school” Mitchell and neither does God Spurrier, so let’s be honest he sucks. No, sucks isn’t strong enough, he’s horrid. Yes, that’s better.

“Spurrier had been concerned about Mitchell’s tendency to hold the ball too long, missing chances to connect with receivers on timing patterns.

Smelley did a good job, Spurrier said, in getting rid of the ball quickly enough to move the Gamecocks. Smelley was 12 of 26 for 174 yards and South Carolina’s only touchdown pass Saturday, a 1-yard scoring toss to Kenny McKinley.

Spurrier didn’t want to get into particulars about what Mitchell did wrong to lose his spot. “But obviously we weren’t going very far and we just decided to let Chris have a chance,” Spurrier said. “He threw the ball pretty well, actually.”

Spurrier also didn’t say if Mitchell or third-stringer Tommy Beecher would come in if Smelley was ineffective or aggravated the sprained right shoulder hurt in the Gamecocks’ opener against Louisiana-Lafayette.

“Right now, Chris has a chance to go the distance,” Spurrier said.”

Remember folks just last week God Spurrier said Blake was taking the Gamecocks to the promise land of SEC championships & and a Lee Corso free society. To be fair to Blake “Sporting Bama Bangs instead of the Mullet” Mitchell, Smelly scored against LSU’s third string defense.

“In 2006, Spurrier thought Mitchell was ready to do great things as South Carolina’s quarterback, saying his player had a chance to be an all-Southeastern Conference pick.

Instead, Mitchell flopped so badly he was replaced after two games by the more mobile Syvelle Newton.

But Mitchell kept his poise and stayed ready. When Spurrier brought him in the second half of South Carolina’s game with Arkansas a year back, Mitchell nearly rallied the team back from a 17-point deficit before losing 26-20.

Mitchell started the rest of the season. The way he finished had Spurrier and Gamecock fans hopeful Mitchell would pick up where he left off.

But whether it was a one-game academic suspension that made him miss the opener or a three-interception, one-fumble performance against South Carolina State two games ago, Mitchell did not meet expectations — and finds himself again out of action.

After the LSU loss, Mitchell was asked what he would do on the sidelines. “Just sit there and wait until, I guess, somebody else messes up and I might get a chance to get back in there,” he said.”

Bama Bangs Blake I highly doubt that you’ll see the field again. God Spurrier is using you to send a message out, win or else. Besides the other QB’s aren’t fuck ups like you are. I wonder if you’re dumb enough to appeal God Spurrier decision again. Maybe get your daddy “Nugget” to raise more hell though the local liberal media here. One thing is certain, I know a lot of USC fans that are finding good things in a loss, and that is you being benched. But don’t worry Blake you can be practice dancing while dreaming of being on “Dancing With the Stars” just keep rocking those Bama Bangs.

So I profess on this day 9/24/07.

Mike Gundy Will Bring Hell, Yes Hell, to the Media

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 23, 2007

Yesterday after a thrilling win over Texas Tech, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy bought hell fire to the local media, that resulted in a three minute and some change diatribe. I’ll admit it’s funny as hell, but let’s start from the beginning. Apparently an article written by Jenni Carlson appeared in the newspaper, The Oklahoman, about the switch at QB for OSU is what set Mike “Media Mercenary” Gundy off.

“Bobby Reid stood near the team charters last Friday night, using his cell phone, eating his boxed meal.

It would’ve been normal post-game activity but for one thing.

His mother was feeding him chicken.

Which brings us to the quarterback switch-a-roo at Oklahoma State.

Don’t see the connection?

Let me explain. Cowboy coaches have gone full-speed ahead with the Zac Attack, opting to start Robinson over Reid a week ago, then sticking with him against Texas Tech today even after an embarrassing loss at Troy. Weren’t we being told just last week that Reid was still the guy? All the weight with which Cowboy coaches were backing Reid has totally shifted to Robinson.

The change seems sudden.”

Wait being fed by his mommy? Bahahaha that’s stupid. To stupid for me even to believe or make up.

“Thing is, it may not be as abrupt as it looks. If you believe the rumors and the rumblings, Reid has been pushing coaches that way for quite some time.

Tile up the back stories told on the sly over the past few years, and you see a pattern that hasn’t always been pretty.

Word is that Reid has considered transferring a couple different times, the first as early as 2005. Reid, then a redshirt freshman, was facing competition from returner Donovan Woods, and apparently, Reid considered leaving OSU just because he had to compete for the spot.

Reid’s nerves have also been an issue. Earlier this year, he told our Andrea Cohen about his game-day emotions. Read the rest of this entry »

The Revelations After a Saturdays Worth of Football Week 4

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 23, 2007

First I would like to apologize for not updating until now. I haven’t felt well all day.

Here are my revelations after yesterdays batch of college football games.

Why is Hawaii even ranked?

Appalachian State beat Michigan, who beat Notre Dame, but Appy State lost to Wofford, so I guess Wofford can beat anyone.

Huge QB controversy for South Carolina, God Spurrier already announced that Mitchell wouldn’t be starting next week. <snicker>

Ole Miss still sucks, but Tennessee suck worse.

Even though Tennessee won yesterday while showing more offense I think Fulmer needs to be replaced. Like Chaz Michael Michaels from “Blade of Glory” said “I’m never satisfied, it’s a curse”.

Oh gee Iowa lost again…go figure.

Notre Dame scored an offensive touchdown!! This is not a drill repeat this is not a drill!

The Third Richt steals a victory in OT at Alabama, God that was sweet. Somewhere Pat Dye is laughing.

Yankees suck!!! Go Boston!!!! I know it isn’t college football related, but it needed to be said.

I think it would he hilarious if Michigan won the Big Eleven Ten

Louisville HAD a 20 game home winning streak broken by Syracuse. The power of the orange lives on.

I bet Joe Pa is pissed after the 9th straight lose to Meechigan.

Kentucky is for real folks.

Are those bags packed yet Houston Nutt?

Georgia Tech you looked good for the first 2 games, what the hell happened?

Auburn welcome back to winning, but you’re still a loser.

I’ve determined Wisconsin plays at the ability of their opponents and not above them.

Michigan State is a dark horse right now.

Oregon can out score Cal.

West Virginia’s first real test of the season come this Friday night.

Texas found their offense again.

Is there a hat that Les Miles can wear without looking like a Catholic Pontiff?

Pitt might be looking for a new football coach along with a new AD after this season.

Nebraska…Ball State…at home…WTF?

Erik Anige continues to have a great year.

Direct TV sucks compared to cable…I’ve never lost reception during a storm with cable.

Cincinnati is 4-0 are they a dark horse?

The road to the ACC title goes through Clemson this year.

If Noel Divine can get spared from getting arrested, he might have a bright future.

What the hell was ESPN’s Mike Patrick thinking? Just watch the video to see what I’m talking about.

So I profess on this day 9/23/07.

The Florida State Football Players Can Beat Anyone at Breaking the Law.

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 21, 2007

Long gone are the glory days on the field for Bobby Bowden and the Florida State Seminoles. FSU used to be a football powerhouse, for now those days are gone. They still recruit some of the best players, especially those that attempt to whip the ass of a Tallahassee police officer.

“Florida State suspended two football players Friday after they were arrested in a bar fight that resulted in felony charges against one of them.

Junior linebacker Geno Hayes and senior fullback Joe Surratt were arrested early Friday at a bar near the Florida State campus, police and school officials said. Police said Hayes had to be subdued with a Taser and Surratt struck a police officer.

Surratt, 21, was charged with a felony count of battery on an officer. Hayes, 20, faces three misdemeanor counts: assault on an officer, resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct, Tallahassee police spokesman David McCranie said.

Both players were released on bail Friday, officials said.”

There goes “the man” again using those Tasers. What happened to the good old days of just getting pistol whipped? Don’t they know electric shocks can hurt and leave little scarring, but a good old fashion pistol whipping, now that shows you were beat down like a man. Resisting arrest without violence, Hayes you pussy, where’s your fighting spirit? I realize your first name is Geno, but still show some gumption. I hope bet your buddy that actually struck the officer got the heroic version of an ass-whipping AKA pistol whipped.

“Officers were on duty outside Potbelly’s Bar looking for underage drinkers when they noticed a man later identified as Hayes screaming profanities and waving his arms, a police report said. When officers tried to talk to him, Hayes became aggressive, police said.

Hayes was pulled away by his friends, but he resisted when officers then tried to handcuff him, leading an officer to stun him with his Taser, police said.

Police said Surratt was standing nearby and officers felt he was interfering with the arrest. An officer pushed Surratt away, and he responded by striking the officer, police said.

Hayes is the team’s second-leading tackler with 19, and Surratt led Florida State with six rushing touchdowns last year but is sidelined with a broken leg.”

Fuck tha police
Comin straight from the underground
Young nigga got it bad cuz I’m brown
And not the other color so police think
They have the authority to kill a minority

Fuck that shit, cuz I ain’t tha one
For a punk muthafucka with a badge and a gun
To be beatin on, and throwin in jail
We could go toe to toe in the middle of a cell…

Oh sorry I was have a N.W.A flashback. First of all who in their right mind would go into a place named Potbelly’s Bar? If I was drug into a bar like that I would have agitated and aggressive like Hayes as well. This is clearly Surratt’s fault. Beside Hayes seems like a pussy.

Surratt has a broken leg and yet he still struck an officer. Jerrell Powe would laugh about that if he could read, because he’s not idiot, illiterate yes complete idiot no. There is a difference. Does Surratt know that when you have a broken leg don’t strike a cop because you’ll have to run away? Both of these players got bomared by Po Po. Of course if these two chose to play for God Spurrier, they would have been assigned super USC attorney Neal “Johnnie Cochran Jr.” Lourie, and of course they would have been suspended indefinitely, which at South Carolina is three days tops.

This is Surratt, he even looks dumber than Powe.

So I profess on this day 9/21/07.

Is Rich Rodriguez Making A Statement That He Can Be An SEC Coach After All?

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on September 21, 2007

Rich “Dirty Sanchez” Rodriguez spurned Alabama and the nation of Bama’zoids last year. The true story as to why he turned them down was because he felt he didn’t look good with Bama Bangs. Then last month it was revealed that Rodriguez had employed similar training and workout methods that are currently employed in SEC schools, most notable USC & Florida. Yesterday Rodriguez further showed the SEC nation that he can in fact be a SEC coach, by proving he disciplines like the SEC coaches, I’m sure he’s hoping Auburn and Tennessee take notice.

“West Virginia reinstated cornerback Ellis Lankster and linebacker J.T. Thomas, who were arrested last month for receiving stolen property, after the two agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program.

A pretrial diversion program often involves a tradeoff of no jail time and a dismissal of all charges if a defendant stays out of trouble for a certain period. Details of the agreement weren’t released Thursday.

Coach Rich Rodriguez said both players will be in uniform for Saturday’s home game with East Carolina but won’t start.

Rodriguez suspended them indefinitely after Thomas, a redshirt freshman, and Lankster, a junior, were charged Aug. 19 with transferring and receiving stolen property, which police said was a laptop computer.

The pair were arrested after an 11 p.m. curfew set by Rodriguez. Both players apologized Thursday in a statement released by the university.”

There you go Rich now get these two strapped with some hand guns and you can call yourself the Florida of the Big East. That is classic SEC discipline right there. Suspend them for the weak games, but make sure they’re ready for action before conference play actually starts. I’m proud of you. Of course with the Big East, most games are weak games.

Look for these players come Saturday, if they play in any plays that means they have been practicing with the team, and not really “suspended” indefinitely. If that’s the case then the SEC discipline mentality goes further with Rodriguez than anyone first initially thought. One can only hope Tennessee will be contacting him sooner than later. ;)

So I profess on this day 9/21/07.
