A Sports Blog on why ALL Teams Suck…Again!

Tennessee Lost! But I & the rest of the SEC Still Get to Bash Bama!

Posted by Thomas the Terrible on October 21, 2007

Notice in my Bama bashing this week I never stated Tennessee would win. It’s no secret I want someone else as the Tennessee head coach, this should be the final nail in the coffin of Fulmer.

The defense was horrible and the offense, outside of Ainge & Foster, was deplorable. I mean it’s not as bad as getting beat by UCLA like Cal did ( ;) Abarclay) or losing at home to Vandy. It is ironic that a team that Fulmer has had so much success against would surely be the end, then again how this season is going I shouldn’t be surprised.

Why John Chavis would still be employed after today is beyond me. Our special teams are well see below:

Another 3 lose season and I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t go to bowl game this year. The coaching search has hopefully started.

Now on to bashing Bama some more. Apparently Alabama likes being on probation because even though the national liberal press didn’t bother mentioning the fact that Bama had to suspend five players before the Tennessee game, the truth still came out. My my my this should be good.

“The University of Alabama football program suspended five players who may have committed major violations of National Collegiate Athletic Association rules less than a year after its most recent probation and repeat-violator status had expired.

Saturday morning, the university announced that junior center Antoine Caldwell, sophomore running back Glen Coffee, junior guard Marlon Davis, sophomore defensive back Marquis Johnson, and sophomore defensive back Chris Rogers, had been suspended for a violation of institutional policy involving impermissible receipt of textbooks.

The move was considered pre-emptive, but school officials emphasized that the investigation is only in its infant stages. Although it could extend beyond the football team, as of now no other student-athletes have been officially implicated.

“This is a situation that developed late this week and we are actively investigating,” director of athletics Mal Moore said in a release to the media 30 minutes before the Crimson Tide kicked off against Tennessee.”

Funny I noticed at least two of those players dressed out on the sidelines….hmmm. Also notice how the reporter, obviously a Bama grad, misspelled “preemptive” typical.

“I wasn’t informed of this until last night,” football coach Nick Saban said after Alabama’s 41-17 victory against Tennessee at Bryant-Denny Stadium. “Obviously there were some players who did not use good judgment. I don’t know all the circumstances surrounding it. There’s also a system in place that shouldn’t allow this to happen, which didn’t work.

“It’s poor judgment on the players’ part, and you’ve heard me say this before, that can’t tolerate poor judgment and you need to what’s right. When you don’t do what’s right, most of the time there are serious consequences for it.”

When pressed on if the players would be allowed to practice, or for the length of the suspensions, Saban said, “I don’t know,” and then went on for a minute about how the suspensions were “not a problem.”

How serious Saban? Serious like all the other Bama players that were arrested and yet still played? Of course the suspensions are “not a problem” just like the assault, obstruction of justice & disorderly conduct charges against Fanney, the resisting arrest, giving a false name to the police and criminal mischief charges against Deaderick & the disorderly conduct charge against Upchurch were never problems either.

This could be a problem for Bama in the future once the investigation is completed. The fact that Bama just got off NCAA probation in February for repeat violations could loom large with these newest developments. Bahahaha I would love that. It would be typical. It could mean more scholarships taken away. Saban better dole out some serious punishment because once these violations are officially reported to the NCAA, their glaring eye will once again be cast upon Bama’s way. Of course this to will be Phil Fulmer’s fault just the last time right Bama’zoids?

This news isn’t what Saban needed to hear because in two weeks he faces this man:

So I profess on this day 10/21/07.

I cant believe TN fans have the nerve to say ANYTHING about NCAA violations….Seems like I remember seeing Tee Martin on national television a few years ago openly stating that he was PAID while at TN…Lets face facts here moron…Did Bama cheat? Absolutely!! Did Phil become a covert agent for the NCAA because he was SOOO endowed with moral integrity? Hell no!! He turned us in, not for cheating, but for cheating better than he did…

Heres another fact for you to shove up your Rocky Top…BAMA SPANKED TN…Things are back to the way they should be…ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Oh wow the classy name calling

And what broadcast was this revelation of Tee Martin on? Did he mention that Tennessee punished themselves by taking away scholarships?

See that’s the difference between Bama and UT, UT can punish themselves, Bama dodges things until they can’t anymore.

Here we go with the typical Bama argument it’s all Phil’s fault. All though some of violations that Bama was caught doing was from the Pre-Phil era. And he didn’t turn you in the NCAA admits they went to him, don’t you remember the court case when some Bammers try to sue him, an Alabama judge dismissed the case. Blame Logan Young not Phil Fulmer.

“Although other SEC and Big Ten coaches spoke to the NCAA about their suspicions, the attorneys for former Tide coaches Ronnie Cottrell and Ivy Williams turned their primary attention to Fulmer.”

Wow other SEC and Big Ten coaches spoke to NCAA as well. But you’re obviously to stupid to know that.

“Things are back to the way they should be…ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!”

Yeah another NCAA investigation for Alabama things are back to the way they used to be.

Just an FYI, Alabama did punish themselves by taking away scholarships as well.

Also, the judge was the former student/assistant to the head of the NCAA Infractions committee, which makes this a drama worthy of daytime tv. Nothing big time mind you, but enough to get Steve Carrell into it. He does everything nowadays.

  5. Every article I’ve seen states the NCAA stripped them of 21 scholarships.

Would you like some cheese with that whine? Give it up… UT and that fat fcuk of a coach got their a$$e$ handed to them yesterday. Alabama suspended the five players when it came to light and notified the NCAA. Now if you want to talk about cheating, let’s talk about Professor Myers and the academic fraud that I’m sure is still going on in Obknoxville. Go back to drinking your moonshine and banging your cousins. What a bunch of inbred fcuks.

  7. “Would you like some cheese with that whine? Give it up… UT and that fat fcuk of a coach got their a$$e$ handed to them yesterday. Alabama suspended the five players when it came to light and notified the NCAA.”

According to the story they haven’t notified them yet. AND WHERE I AM WHINING? I’m reporting it. Try reading the whole blog you’ll see I do this to every team including Tennessee. But speaking of whining there you go whining about the past when your football program has committed more violations. Whine whine whine.

“Now if you want to talk about cheating, let’s talk about Professor Myers and the academic fraud that I’m sure is still going on in Obknoxville.”

Nice try she hasn’t been there for years now.

“Go back to drinking your moonshine and banging your cousins. What a bunch of inbred fcuks.”

Again personal insults over words on a screen…classy. Fact of the matter is I’m not from Tennessee, I don’t live in Tennessee, if you ever thought of investigating the site before shooting off your cock holster, you could have found that out. And when you try to insult someone try editing for typos.

Face it Vols fans, the TIDE has turned and your run is over. That game was won by Shula players and not Saban’s. Just think of the utter domination once Saban has a few years at recruiting.

All I have read is that the Vols just did not play well…well DUH! The Vols were whipped on both sides of the ball. Sure Foster had a few good runs, but he did not have over 100 yards. And what if Fulmer would have went for it with fourth and a few yards and did not make it. Then the Tide would have most likely added a few more TD’s and the final would have been 55-17, would that have made the Vol fans happier.

  9. “TIDE has turned and your run is over.”

Our run has been over, but for some reason Tide fans are just catching on…typical.

“Just think of the utter domination once Saban has a few years at recruiting.”

Just think what a set back it be if more scholarships are taken away…

  10. Or Saban’s recruits transfering after he takes the Michigan job.

“I have always been a Wolverine at heart.” – Nick Saban

  11. Rumor is Michigan might go after the Dolphins coach. Either way I believe Carr will retire after this season, but it would be funny if Michigan wins the Big 10 in the process.

I attended (We never say “went to”) the Ole Miss-Alabama game Saturday before last and had the unfortunate experience of sitting with a large contingent of Alabama fans. When Ole Miss pulled ahead at the end of the third quarter, a very large, coarse woman dressed in a size 86 “Bama” T shirt directed a stream of profanity at Nick Saban which included some words that I have never heard. Her outburst included her opinion that Saban is no better than that “motherf—kin Shula”. This obesity headed a group of more red necks that you will ever see at a Cajun Crawfish cooking competition. Is the typical Alabama football fanatic?

  13. Unfortunately yes. Which is why they seem to go through so many coaches.

“Which is why they seem to go through so many coaches.”

Another good point in the argument why we should keep Fulmer.

If we make a coaching change, how long must Tennessee be “cellar dwelles” like Alabama before they find the right fit. How long do you give the next coach to to install his offensive schemes, and recruit the type of playes he feels will execute?

My biggest fear is that Tennesee will wind up being another Notre Dame; the punch line of cheap shots and jokes.

We have been for years now, where have you been?

    Case in point.

    Touche’ Mr. Terrible.
When Fulmer’s fired, (quite possibly after winning the SEC, and a BCS bowl, and a Top 10) and the new coaching regime’s only win is by a feld goal in the Orange and White game, I wonder if the Vol Nation will abandon “Rocky Top” for “Ode to Phillip Fulmer and his Donuts” as their theme song?
