If there’s one thing I hate it’s the acknowledgment of my birthday. I despise getting older & it’s usually a pretty depressing day all around.
However this year promises to be different because on May 13th, the day God cursed the earth with the birth of this Êv¡£ Genius, a chapter in another so-called evil genius’s life will finally be coming to a close.
Matt Walsh will get his day with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. What he has to offer is anyone’s guess.
The former Patriots assistant will meet with Goodell on May 13 about New England’s videotaping of opposing teams. It took a couple of months (81 days to be exact), but the league reached an agreement with Walsh on Wednesday.
“Commissioner Goodell will meet with Mr. Walsh … on May 13, the earliest date that Mr. Walsh, who lives in Hawaii, will be available on the East Coast,” the NFL statement said. “The agreement also requires Mr. Walsh to return any tapes and other items in his possession that belong to the Patriots. In return, the NFL and the Patriots have promised not to sue Mr. Walsh. They also will indemnify him for any expenses, including legal fees that he incurs in connection with the interview.”
Goodell vs spygate. Good rivalry but not as good as Marty McFly v Biff Tennen
During Super Bowl week, and nearly five months after the Patriots were sanctioned for illegal taping of the New York Jets in the season opener — a $500,000 fine for coach Bill Belichick, a $250,000 fine for the organization, and the loss of a first-round draft pick on Saturday — there were reports of possible other videotaping by the Patriots. Those reports centered on Walsh, who shot videos for the Patriots during his six-year stint with the organization before being canned.
“Today, Mr. Walsh and the National Football League reached an agreement under which the NFL will provide legal indemnification and a release of claims against Mr. Walsh relating to his employment by the Patriots and the Patriots’ videotaping operations,” said Walsh’s lawyer, Michael Levy of McKee Nelson LLP. “I am pleased that we now have an agreement that provides Mr. Walsh with appropriate legal protections. Mr. Walsh is looking forward to providing the NFL with the materials he has and telling the NFL what he knows.”

So what might Walsh have and what does he know? The Patriots say he has nothing. However if the evidence is incriminating, Belichick needs to be banned from football and the Rams, Eagles and Panthers need to be crowned champs. IF he has nothing.. it needs to be dropped and NO MORE said about it.
“The New England Patriots are pleased to learn that Matt Walsh is finally willing to come forward to meet with the NFL,” the team said in a statement. “We are eagerly anticipating his honest disclosures to commissioner Goodell next month and the return of all the materials he took during his time of employment. We fully expect this meeting to conclude the league’s investigation into a damaging and false allegation that was originally levied against the team on the day before this year’s Super Bowl.”
The allegation was that New England videotaped the St. Louis Rams’ walkthrough on the day before the 2002 Super Bowl. Although Belichick admitted to Goodell during the Spygate investigation that his team often taped opposing coaches’ signals during games, he adamantly has denied anything about that Super Bowl.
“I’ve never seen a tape of another team’s practice. Ever!” Belichick said at last month’s NFL owners meetings. “Certainly not that one. I think they’ve addressed everything they possibly can address. I’ve addressed so many questions so many times from so many people I don’t know what else the league could ask.”
In their statement Wednesday, the Patriots reiterated that stand:
“At all times, we cooperated fully with the league’s investigation and stand by our initial public statement from Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008: The suggestion that the New England Patriots recorded the St. Louis Rams’ walkthrough on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 is absolutely false.”
The agreement with Walsh will allow him to “share with the NFL information about activities occurring during his employment with the club from 1997-2003,” the league said.
Walsh also will be barred from using any material related to Spygate for commercial purposes “or in any manner that could reasonably be expected to be disparaging to the NFL” or the Patriots.
He also will not be allowed to speak with any third parties before meeting with Goodell.
Belichick has said the videotaping was a misinterpretation of the rule. He told Goodell he was handing over all the tapes in September, and Goodell destroyed them. So if Walsh has any evidence, it could be quite damaging to Belichick and the Patriots.
“It is important to note that there has never been a confidentiality agreement restricting Matt Walsh, and no legal protections were ever necessary for him to speak to the NFL, to media outlets or to anyone else regarding his employment with the Patriots,” the team’s statement said. “Walsh has been granted a significant number of privileges through this agreement, none of which the Patriots or the NFL were obligated to give.”
The agreement requires Walsh to hand over all pertinent material by May 8.
Why do they have to wait until May 13th for the meeting? I know Goodell has a lot on his plate with the draft coming up and other preparations for the season, but why not meet with Specter first? Oh, because this has absolutely nothing to do with Specter, or the Government, or any law violation.
You know Specter lost a nut when he heard this. Either way, chances are Walsh has nothing more than tapes of defensive signals…more of the same.
The story has been kept alive by Sen. Arlen Specter, the Republican leader of the Senate Judiciary Committee who has criticized the league’s investigation — specifically the destruction of notes and six tapes turned over by the Patriots from the 2006 season and 2007 preseason. After initially describing the illegal taping as very limited, Goodell later revealed that Belichick had admitted following the same taping practices since he took over the Patriots in 2000.
“I’m glad to see it,” Specter told ESPN.com. “They worked a long time on it and they got it done. I think it is a good thing.”
When asked if he wanted to see the materials, Specter said, “I sure do,” adding that he would ask the league to allow him access to whatever videotapes and notes Walsh turns over.
“To whatever extent the league’s approval is necessary, I will ask them for it in a formal way,” Specter said.
Specter will not be part of the NFL’s interview of Walsh but confirmed he expected to be meeting with Walsh in Washington also on May 13.
As for what he wants to learn from Walsh in their conversation, Specter said:
“I want to know everything. I would begin chronologically. When did the first taping occur? Who directed it? And who knew about it? Who participated in it, and what use was made of it? And what effect did it have on the game, as best he could tell? Was there ever any disagreement about using it?”
The only thing I hope for is if there is anything to Walsh and all this hoopla and if the Pats are found to have been using some unruly tactics that gave them an advantage, punish them. If they are allowed keep their Super Bowl titles then at least make them have to go back to the old uniforms. That would be justice for me.

Although women’s basketball season ended two weeks ago with another title for Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols, it was open season on Pat Summitt and Tennessee Tuesday.
Connecticut women’s coach Geno “Horse Faced Bitch” Auriemma took aim and fired.
At a press conference in Storrs, Conn., to wrap up the Huskies’ season, Auriemma unleashed some lingering resentment toward the Lady Vols basketball coach over Tennessee’s decision last spring to end the regular-season series between the two schools.
“Pat knows,” he said. “I don’t have to say anything. Pat knows. She knows why we’re not playing. There’s nothing for me to say. I’m not the one that made the decision not to play. So she should just tell you why instead of saying, ‘Geno knows.’ I do know. I already told you. She accused us of cheating at recruiting. She doesn’t have the courage to say it publicly. So yeah, Geno does know. And I’ve said it.”
ESPN reported last month that Tennessee raised a complaint with the SEC office over an ESPN private tour the Huskies basketball office helped arrange in October 2005 for then-top recruit Maya Moore and her mother, Kathryn. Auriemma AKA Trigger said the tour amounted to a secondary rules violation.
However to use ESPN because it is in Connecticut was beyond cheating and it wasn’t minor as he likes to say. What he wasn’t saying out loud to the recruit was that he had ultimate influence with the premier sports television network on the world, and it was 60 miles from his campus.
When asked about the possibility of playing UT at the Maggie Dixon Classic in New York City, Auriemma said,
“If you’re not going to play here or there, you’re not going to play them at Madison Square Garden in a charity event that’s supposed to help a good cause. How could they be involved with that? That would be something that’s good for the game.”
Sounds like he’s singing his version of Taylor Swift’s song…”She’s the reason for the tear drops on my basketball”. What a cry baby.
While his comments indicate otherwise, Auriemma said the situation “doesn’t irk me.” Of course judging from these comments it does “irk” him and that makes him a liar as well as a horse faced crying bitch.
“With some people that’s just their style,” he said. “They’re passive-aggressive. They always want to have somebody to blame for what’s going on.”
When reached for comment Tuesday night, Summitt said “It’s absolutely not worth a comment.”
You got drilled by Stanford and Tennessee drilled them 2 days later. So, what’s left to say? Other than you’re the one being “passive-aggressive”. Coach Summitt won’t comment because she has class something you’ve lacked for a long time now.

Preston Parker was named Florida State’s most valuable player last season after leading the team with 1,513 all-purpose yards and 62 receptions, was arrested late Monday and charged with carrying a concealed .45-caliber pistol and a small amount of Florida’s finest sweet stinky weed.
This Bobby Bowden Chapter Mensa member was picked up by the F$U Po Po a little before midnight Monday for carrying a loaded semiautomatic .45-caliber pistol wedged into the dash of the car next to a bag of marijuana. Police also found a separate container stuffed with marijuana, according to the arrest report.
Parker told police he didn’t know anything about the marijuana. However, he admitted the gun was his, purchased for him by a friend before his birthday earlier this year.
That’s just sheer brilliance shining through. Someone please inform Mr. Parker that the gun is a FELONY. How South Carolina let this one get away is a mystery to me.
If someone asked me “Hey do you want to make millions and play football for the next 15 years? Just stay out of trouble, don’t smoke weed or do any other drugs.”
I’m pretty sure I could stop smoking for 15 years and MAYBE not carry illegal guns (sarcasm). I think being set for life with more money than I could imagine would be enough motivation. But I guess a lot of these idiots can’t think that far.

Florida State’s disciplinary policy calls for suspension of any athlete facing criminal charges and prohibits any student-athlete charged with a felony, from competing until the charge is resolved. Which knowing the weight Bowden still carries should be rather soon.
“Once we’ve thoroughly reviewed the details of the incident, we will handle the situation according to that policy,” said Randy Spetman, who was named athletic director earlier this year and most likely regrets it.
The Seminoles already have six starters sitting out suspensions from a classroom cheating scandal last year.
The funny thing is Florida State kicked Randy Moss out of school in the mid-1990s for being caught smoking marijuana in a West Virginia jail. Only in West Virginia…
This isn’t the first time Parker has made friends with the Po Po, he was also arrested by Tallahassee police in 2006 for swiping a $10 DVD at a Best Buy store. Yes folks…a freaking $10 DVD…sad…yes…pathetic…better believe it…was it at least a good flick? Doubtful.
In daily life as a working stiff or college athlete I am trying to think of a place, time or spot where a gun would be needed (other than law enforcement). If you think you need a gun you probably shouldn’t go to college. Is Logic mandatory? I mean it sucks as a class but it is very useful.

With the NFL draft coming up this weekend, everyone is saying Matt Ryan will be the first QB to be taken. Personally I feel analyzing the draft is pointless, after all people actually debated on who was better between Manning and Ryan Leaf. We all know how that turned out. Here’s a closer look at Matt Ryan for entertainment.

Thomas has 516 career homers, placing him 18th on baseball’s career list. He also has 264 career home runs as a designated hitter, the most in baseball history.
With a career average of .302, Thomas is one of four players in baseball history with at least a .300 average, 500 home runs, 1,500 RBIs, 1,000 runs and 1,500 walks. The others are Mel Ott, Babe Ruth.
And right now he’s unemployed. On Saturday, Thomas publicly ripped management for demoting him, then didn’t bother to appear either in the dugout or on the field during the Blue Jays’ 3-2 victory over the Tigers.
So it can’t be considered a total shock that the Blue Jays released him on Sunday, even though they had to swallow $7 million of his $8 million 2008 salary.
Thomas suggested that his 2009 option that would have vested at $10 million more with 304 more plate appearances was the reason for his benching.
“We all know what’s behind this. What else could be behind this but the money?”
Thomas, who was 10 for 60 (.167) with three home runs, made his feelings about his demotion known by telling the Toronto Sun,
“They do that after 16 games, after 16 at-bats. That’s bullshit.”
Thomas began terribly last year, as well, and was in fact hitting just .223 on June 1 last year before he turned it around and finished with a typical season (26 homers, 95 RBIs, .277) so there’s some logic to his outburst.
“If you know Frank, he’s an emotional guy,” Ricciardi said Sunday. “He wears his heart on his sleeve. I would be disappointed if a player didn’t have a reaction that he cared. That wasn’t really that important to me.”
Ricciardi said Thomas was more calm when they met Sunday, adding that the contract was not part of their discussion.
“That never came up,” Ricciardi said. “I told Frank our decision is based on performance and his decision is based on not being able to be in the lineup.”
What a joke. A month into the season and you waive the guy who LED YOUR TEAM IN HR last year. They should have never brought him to camp and allowed him to catch on with someone else. Way to treat a HOF ballplayer. I hope free agents pay attention to how they treated one of the greatest hitters in the history of the game.
This just in, the Blue Jays bench and release Thomas to bring back Joe Carter. The Blue Jays say that Joe Carter gives them a better chance to win and they are all about contending.
I guess the door is open to go out and sign the unemployed Barroid Bonds now. If the Blue Jays want to be serious contenders that is the only logical move.

A minor league baseball team has dropped plans to hold a welcome party for Michael Vick thanks to the PC police.
The Kansas City T-Bones of the Northern League had planned to have a Michael Vick “Welcome to the Neighborhood” night May 28, complete with prison uniforms, spotlights and escape sirens. Other events promoting caring for animals also were planned.
After receiving complaints about the promotion, the club announced Friday that it will drop the Vick-related events and will focus only on events that promote animal safety and adoptions.
Oh come on! Man up and have the event. it would make for a great laugh. I would pay to go to that for sure. Of course this could open the door for “No Means No!, Kobe” night.
“It was not our intent to be culturally insensitive,” T-Bones general manager Rick Muntean said. “We simply wanted to raise awareness for what we think are great causes. We recognize that the health and well-being of animals is a widely-supported cause of our fan base, so we’re going to keep that our only focus.”
The night will include a dog parade, pregame dog adoptions and entertainment by Rockin’ Ray and the Sky Dogs and some other nobody bands.
Why is it that the free country that we live in is also the most uptight country. Doesn’t anyone have a sense of humor? Anyone with a brain knows that what Vick did was horrible, and this baseball team is just making fun of Vick and not what he did. LOOSEN UP A LITTLE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After going 0-49 in her first fifty starts, Danica Patrick scored her long-awaited first IndyCar Series victory. Improving her overall record to 1-49. Patrick led only three of 200 laps and she certainly didn’t have the fastest car on the Twin Ring Motegi oval nestled in the mountains northwest of Tokyo. Her win was the product of a disciplined final stint that allowed her to stretch a 22-gallon tank of ethanol farther than anyone else & gave herself a pedicure in the process.
“Finally,” she said, fighting back tears in Victory Lane. “Finally. I knew there was a reason I always liked coming to Japan, beside the cool animated Japaneses porn.”
It’s arguably the most significant motorsport achievement to date for a female driver. But Patrick played it humble.
“It wasn’t even a matter of doing anything different,” she said. “It was everything coming together with a bit of luck and good pit strategy. I feel like a wuss crying, but it’s been a long time coming and I’m a chick. Have you seen my Go Daddy commercial? Yeah…lesbians want me. Finally …”
“I love this girl,” Andretti added. “She is just a first-class individual and I’m so happy that monkey is off her back and I wish I could just mount her right here right now! You’ll see — there is going to be more of this to come.”
“I can’t say that the last stint was exactly hard,” Patrick explained. “You’re taking it easy and taking care of the car. I did feel at the end that it was fast and I was managing to save fuel while still keeping the speed. And I heard from Kyle that all I needed to beat was Helio. “So when I saw him I knew I had been saving a little extra throughout the stint. I knew he was the one to beat and I didn’t want to make the mistake of not pushing really hard to get by him.”
As usual, Danica had her close-knit family by her side in Japan, including mom Bev, dad TJ, and husband Paul Hospenthal (or Mr. Danica Patrick if you prefer).
“She’s worked so hard, and I’m so proud of this team,” said Bev Patrick. “We finally got the win that everybody has been waiting for, and she’s been waiting for it more than them. Of course if I had a son he would have by now.”
“It’s the best day of my life,” TJ Patrick added. “I’ve dreamed about it and I’m so proud of her. For all the grief she gets over it, she just proved to everyone that she can win races, and she’s going to win a lot more. She better me and her mother are expecting to live La Vito Loca on her dime in our “golden” years”

“Let me show you what go daddy really means” she said.
