The Magnolia Bowl is coming. Are you scared? Yeah I wouldn’t be either.

According to the Daily Mississippian Online the rivalry between Ole Miss and LSU has been dubbed the “Magnolia Bowl.” Thanks to this I will no longer think of Magnolia has four hours of torturous cinema that starred Tom Cruise but instead I will think of four hours of LSU whipping the ass of Ole Miss.
This rivalry will have its own golden trophy in the shape of a magnolia, I’m sure that’s a piece of hardware any team can be proud of.
Interim ASB President Elizabeth Yerger says:
“The trophy should be ready by the Nov. 22nd game between Ole Miss and LSU. We want to get t-shirts, stickers, cups and water bottles for the event. We hope we can get it officially down on paper very soon. The name has been chosen, but as of right now, it’s not ratified. We had our first game with LSU in 1894. We as students have defined this rivalry and we think that we should honor it.”
I’m sure everyone wants a t-shirt proudly showing their affections for magnolias and football, all rolled up in one.
Does President Yerger realize that Ole Miss has lost seven of the last eight games and about 60% of all games against LSU? Probably not.
Andrew Remson, director of athletics at LSU, said:
“The rivalry between LSU and Ole Miss has been going on for a very long time. Both universities look forward to it every year. I am a third generation student. It’s a tradition for both schools. This trophy just gives us more of an opportunity to demonstrate our respective school spirits.”
Just add this to an ever growing collection of trophy games that have been invented the past. Except most of those trophies are cool and not some golden flower.

Nice game against Troy. ULM beat Troy about 2 weeks before Ole Miss beat ULM 59-0.
Again solid play vs Troy. You sure have got a great coach now and he really seems to be working wonders with his own recruits now that Saban’s are graduating…

LSU: 40 Troy:31 (Troy was winning 31 to 3)
Florida: 30 Ole Miss 31 (In the swamp)
Florida: 51 LSU: 21
Ole Miss is going to be the one who kicks LSU ass because, well i mean they just came close to losing to the almighty TROY in death valley and you are the only person in the country besides those coon asses in louisianna that thinks Ole Miss is gonna lose. And maybe Ole Miss has lost to LSU more but even in LSU’s glory days they could barely beat a terrible Ole Miss team and now this year Ole Miss is actually good. Ole Miss wins Magnolia bowl, then the Egg bowl, and to cap it all off a sweet victory in January at the cotton bowl.

Dave22 Houston Nutt is playing with Coach O’s recruits and Cody if you’re going to throw up stats mention the fact Ole Miss got beat by South Carolina at home but LSU went to South Carolina and kicked ass.
Honestly both teams blow…have fun with the golden flower trophy.
If Ole Miss loses will either one of you show up? Probably not.

look dude im sorry tennessee has only won one sec game but that doesnt mean you have to dog on the LSU and Ole Miss game. The real question is if and when ole miss defeats lsu are you gonna write any more foolish blogs about ole miss sucking??? probably not. and by the way the south carolina game is back when ole miss still thought they wasnt going to the postseason. but as of now all the players on ole miss team is pumped up coming off a 59-0 win and LSU is in a mix of being drained of their confidence by losing an overtime game to bama and damn near losing to troy. Should i mention ole miss lost to alabama by 4 points at bamas place with another bad call to end the game and LSU lost by a touchdown at death valley when it should’ve been over way earlier. Look i know my stuff i even picked oregon state over usc and look what happened. Watch

Again this was written in July…sheesh. Dude I rip on every team including Tennessee. You don’t like it don’t come back. Yes I still will rip on Ole Miss even if they win. Does Jerrel Powe know how to read yet? Nice loss to Wake Forest also. And how many times had Ole Miss beaten Tennessee? Yeah that’s what I thought.

Bullshit. Ole Miss was 3-2 and USC was coming off a loss to Vandy. You still had Arkansas to play La.-Monroe and Miss State to play. Those are gimmes and you know it. So that’s either a piss poor excuse or piss poor logic.

It’s nice to see that Ole Piss is recruiting Jamar Hornsby, a sleaze ball that used a dead woman’s credit card while at Florida. Great class(less) person Nutt is going after. That alone deserves some ripping.

Maybe with Jamar Hornsby Ole Miss can actually win the SEC…but I doubt it.
